1. The right foundation is vital. If its the wrong colour, texture/consistency or type for your skin, no matter how good your features look, you won't look right! Part of this is getting foundation matched by someone who knows their stuff- like someone from a Mac or Clinique counter etc.
2. Invest in yourself. That sounds super cheesy, but you wear different clothes everyday, but you tend to reach for the same make-up, so i think it's good to splurge occasionally on pricier makeup like Mac or Nars- at the end of the day, makeup lasts ages and if it helps you feel more confident, then you should just go for it.
3. Shop around/Samples are your new best friend. The first blusher you pick up is not going to be your favourite forever- you need to experiment to find what suits you- that's part of the fun!

1. Applying a clear polish after a manicure 2-3 times during the week will help your manicure last longer. Try to put a little underneath your nail - this will secure your polish so it's less likely to chip.

2. Once every fortnight, or if you have very dry and thick hair give yourself a hot oil head massage. Coconut, almond and olive oil work really well. Warm up 1/3rd cup or more if you have a lot of hair slightly, apply, massage it into the roots for at least 10mins and after 30mins wash as normal. Result: shiny healthy hair!

3. For on the spot acne treatment or even redness grate nutmeg with 1-2 tsp of milk to form a paste and place over required area. The nutmeg will help dry out the spot and reduce redness.
