Today we meet an amazing fashionista from NY, blogger from LeBelle's Block
Hi, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you
do/where you’re from, etc.).
I’m a
fashion loving, shopaholic, sassy girl from NY who like many people worked at job that was just
flat out boring and definitely not stimulating. So I decided to pursue a long
time goal of mine which was to enter the “modelling” world. That turned that
into a desire to share my knowledge with others by way of a blog J
How would you define your style?
Innovatively fresh with a hint of sassy flare. I love classic looks and use old pieces
in a new way.
How did you find your sense of
style?
Honestly I think it was a mixture of things. Growing up I
didn’t have many outfits so I had to work with what I had. I got tired of wearing
the same old things so I started figuring out ways to take an old look and make
it into something new. When I started working in a store during my high school
years I became intrigued with fashion and style so I read a ton of magazines
while I was on the job LOL
What inspired you to start a style
blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
I always getting
compliments on my outfits or some accessory I was wearing. People would
think I spent some astronomical amount on my outfit or that It was some exclusive brand so
I wanted to show people how simple and inexpensive a great look can be
and at the same time introduce them to different brand names.
I am a very detailed and curious person so as long as
there is something out there that I am curious about then I will keep blogging. Sharing that
information with others is what motivates me.
What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
My Moroccan styled earrings that I brought off a vendor in South Hampton , NY
What is your top fashion tip?
Less is best! No need to over do an outfit. I know most people
think the more the merrier but when it comes to fashion I personally think that
rule is null and void!
What advice do you have for new
bloggers or people considering starting a blog?
Do
it! Nothing is easy at first but as long as you take the first step and just do
it you’ve overcome the biggest hurdle.
Everyone has useful knowledge to share with other people so don’t think
no one will read your post or that it’s a waste of time. There are some many
free temples out that make starting a
blog simple and easy.
What importance do social networks
have for you?
Social Networks are extremely
important to me because they help me
reach an audience that I would otherwise not have the ability to communicate
with. I love interacting with people. Getting there feedback, knowing that people share my common interest and I mean
social networks are the #1 way to market yourself now and days so I would say
they definitely play an important role for me.
What is your favourite thing to do
when not blogging?
Oh man! I love to do a mixture of things especially
Workout or sleep LOOL ironically enough I love to just be away
from computers whenever I have the
chance.
What message do you hope to send to
your readers?
Never give
up on any of your dreams or aspirations. Many times we make unnecessary excuses
as to why we should not or can not do something we truly want to do. Once you
stop making excuses and just go after your dream you feel such a great sense of
courage and accomplishment. A year ago today I would have never image I’d be
where I am at this moment or that people would actually look at my site but I can
tell you this, I sure am glad I made the leap!
